THE POTTER and THE CLAY

    ~( Jer 18:1-6 and Rom 19:24 ) ~

INTRODUCTION :

We Christians are like mud taken by God to be soften and desire what he wants us to be. But how do we react being a mud in God’s hand.

POINTS :

1. RESPONSE

þ React to the dealing of God in our life. Like the mud or clay that absorb the water  to be soften. We Christians must also absorb the Word of God to soften our inner man. So that the preaching and teaching will penetrate every hard part of ourselves.

þ Titus acknowledge God by responding to the dealing of God in his life. He first go to Jerusalem with Paul then to Corinth until to Crete were he facing difficulties being the leader and solving church problems. ( Gal 2:3-5 ; 2 Cor 8:6-10 and Titus 1:1-10 )

2. REMAIN

þ We must remain to the place were we can be with God. Hear his teaching and be equip by his Word. Stay with God’s hand like the mud or clay in the rotating equipment by the potter. If you will not remain you will fall like the clay that will have some dirt and stone on it. The Potter surely will clean the clay and will take the dirt or stone in it but the sad things is it will hurt every part that will taken out.

þ Remain and stay in God’s Word ( Prov 2:21; John 15:10-11 )

3. MOLDABLE

þ God wants us to be one of the beautiful vessel He wanted so be obedient and moldable to His dealing.

þ Be shapeable for God’s glory

þ Be develop in God’s Word

þ Formative in God’s ministry

þ Be a vessel unto honor and not to dishonor ( Rom 9:21 )

Challenge :

"Can we do the part of being the clay that is willing to be process by God’s Word unto a vessel unto HONOR "
