RECIPE OF A PRAYERFUL MAN
~Psalm 5:1-12
POINTS :
1. REQUEST
A. HEAR ME ( verses 1-7 )
þ David is asking God to hear him on his prayer.
B. LEAD ME ( verse 8 )
þ David wants a God’s way answer.
2. REASON ( verses 11-12 )
þ When we are praying do we have a reason , a reason that will glorify God in our life or just to satisfy our need. þ We must have a God’s reason not a selfish reason. Just like David’s reason to God in verses 9-10 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee..For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee..
3. RESPONSE ( verses 11-12 )
þ How do we response after we have pray to God. Does we praise Him immediate like David did and claim that answer prayer.
þ In verses 11 and 12 David express his contentment on the answer of God what ever it is.
þ In our Christian life how do we act on these things. Do we have the joy that come from trusting in and loving the Lord in what may be the result of our prayer.
þ Have faith and hope in God on every prayer you do.
