BUSY IN DOING WORTHY THINGS

Eph 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Introduction :

þ In our times today everybody seems to be busy doing things like : working for themselves, studying for their grades, living for their extent. Doing busy things that will benefit the desire of their body. Tour here and everywhere, shop here and there, party here and party there.

þ Lets now think of those things that we do for Christ that will keep us busy. Or should I said "busy doing for Christ’s sake ". It is not what you think that you are only busy if you are inside the church or if there’s a service. We could say it is one but there are many beside that.

POINTS :

1. Busy in God’s Ministry

þ Mt 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

þ Lu 12:43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing

þ Ac 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

þ Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

þ Do you desire to have any of the ministry or be involved in any. I believe IF YOU LOVED GOD one of the outcome of this  is to express it by serving HIM.

2. Busy in Doing God’s will

þ 1Pe 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

þ 1Pe 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

3. Busy in doing God’s way or Plan

þ One of His will is sharing the Word of God to others "Mt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

þ Ga 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

þ Ro 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

þ 1Th 2:12  That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

CONCLUSION :

þ In God ‘s work we see His hand; in His Word we hear His heart.

Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
