DANGEROUS

 II Samuel 24:1-25

Introduction:

þ 1.3 Million are the total Arm forces of Israel at that time ( v. 9 )

þ God was angry when they counted their resources because they begun to trust their own selves not to God.

þ God immediately give 3 consequences over Israel ( v. 13 ).

¤  3 years of Famine at Land

¤     3 months of flee over enemy

¤     3 days of pestilence

þ They offered at the altar ( burnt and peace offering ) for God’s mercy because of David wickedness. ( v. 25 )

POINTERS

I. THE STANDARD MAJORITY WIN IS WRONG IN GOD’S PRINCIPLE THROUGH HIS WORD

Zech 4:6                  " ⁶ Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

II. THE STANDARD OF POWER RESIDE TO A BIG NUMBER OF PEOPLE

Gen 11: 1-9

I Sam 2: 6-8           - "  ⁶ The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.⁷ The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, [and] lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set [them] among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth [are] the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

I Tim 6:17 - "  ¹⁷ Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

þ Quantity for Man

Matt 20 : 16 "  ¹⁶ So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. ^”

Matt 7 : 13-14 "   ¹³ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:¹⁴ Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matt 22 : 14 " ¹⁴ For many are called, but few [are] chosen.

Luke 13:24 " ²⁴ Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

 CONCLUSION

Matt 18 : 20 " ¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.¹⁹ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
