HOW TO BE RICH IN GOD

 Luke 12:16-34

Introduction:

þ This will encourage us to desire and learn to walk and how to be rich in God.

þ True treasure and riches  will not fade away especially those that are acquired in serving God.

þ Riches that are materially and spiritually were important and needed  by each of us.

þ The Lord warns us about putting our trust in riches:"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.-1Tim6:10-11

þ We must prioritized the treasure of God /spiritual things before the material things. Satan confused people by changing their views toward riches but God said : "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”-Lu 12:34

þ We should not let the system of this world influence us in our lives because it is usually  against the system of God .

POINTS :

1. DO NOT LAY TREASURE FOR YOURSELVES ONLY ( v. 21 )

þ We must know the flow of blessing as being child of God. Treasure should not stock to ourselves only it should flow from ourselves to God  by the church, members of the family, household of faith, workers of church and people who need help.

2. DO NOT NEGLECT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE ( v. 31 )

þ Prioritized God in your life. Seek first God and you will be amazed how will God will take care of your financial needs.

3. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE PREOCCUPIED BY THE NEEDS OF YOUR LIVES ( V.22)

þ Your always thinking of your needs. How are you going to serve God if your pre-occupied with it.

þ Being children of God we must live by faith, faith that God will not leave us nor forsake us.

4. DO NOT FEAR OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR LIFE IN THE FUTURE (V. 32)

þ Fear not for the future because we have a sure and good future together with our God. We don't know about tomorrow but Jesus holds it.

5. DO NOT BE LAZY BUT CONTINUE DOING THINGS ESPECIALLY THINGS FOR GOD ( V. 37,42,43 )

þ God doesn't want us to be dependant on others but rather he wants us to depend only to Him alone. Others will be a tool only not the Great Provider.

6. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE UNGUARD BUT TO BE AWARE ALWAYS OF GOD’S PLAN IN YOUR LIFE WHICH WAS WRITTEN IN HIS WORD.

þ Some Christians are letting themselves unguard. Having attitude of "come what may ". God give us His Word to be our guide in our life that will light up our path.

CONCLUSION :

" GOD DOESN’T WANT HIS CHILDREN TO BE POOR MATERIALLY AND SPRITUALLY. HE WANTS US TO BE RICH IN BOTH AREA. FOLLOW HIS WORD THAT SHALL DO IT.
