THE ONE
" 17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men. "

Introduction:
þ Prophet Elijah stand for God against 450 prophets of baal.
þ He is one only against so many prophets of baal standing in front of the people of Israel.
þ Like Elijah we are different we have no common like to others we are unique. Despite of this uniqueness Elijah stand as one , one that will stand in the name of the Lord.
þ We also know that Elijah known as the weeping prophet in the Old testament.
þ Uniqueness in ourselves should have the Glory of God. How he made us differ from each other.
þ Lets see how Elijah do the will of being the one to stand for God during his time
POINTERS
I. ONE SERVANT ( verses 17-20 )
þ Elijah serve God even if he is only one. One servant obeying the will of God. We Christian should have this character that even we are only one doing God’s work we continue.
þ In the life of Elijah God manifest His power against the 450 prophets of baal. In the end the 450 were killed by the people and they believe in God of Elijah
II. THERE IS NO TWO OPINION ( verse 21 )
þ We must stand in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ .
þ We must make a choice , a choice for the truth for God.
þ We must not have a double minded mind. We should make a decision a decision to make a choice.
III. THERE IS ONE MASTER ( Matt 23:8 )
þ Matt 23:8 "But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.”
þ Only one master to follow and that’s our Lord Jesus Christ
þ In Amos 3:3 "3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? " if two are not agreeing they should have other ways
þ Being Christian we are bound to our master and obey what He wants us to do. To do his will.
CONCLUSION
" God created as differ to each other that can stand toward so many things. We are One Servant doing One opinion and One master which is our Lord Jesus Christ. "
