WHY WE ARE IN THE MINISTRY?

           ¹² And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; - 1 Timothy 1:12

INTRODUCTION :

Apostle appreciate what Jesus Christ has done to him. Our Lords goodness in the life of Paul. He was counted a faithful apostle, christen and a man of God. In his pronouncement that it is easy to understand that it is not Paul who put himself in the ministry but it is God. He was thankful that Christ has put him in the ministry.

Being Christian we are being feed in our spiritual life in the Church only you cannot find it in other place better that the Church.

If we are part of the body of Christ (the church) we must also thank God. It is the institution that God build and founded. If we are always in the church we will not regret it because we will learn more about God and we can be used by God. He will give you the power,  strength and abilities to be counted faithful and worthy in the ministry of our Lord and Savior.

There are many institution in the world but the church is extra ordinary for when we got saved we must always give importance to our spiritual life– feeding in the church as stated in Ephesians 2:11-16 for the perfection or maturation. When we are in the state of being matured Christian we intend to serve or to work the ministry of Christ. There’s a difference in the state of Christian being used and not used by God. 

Why are we in the ministry

1. BECAUSE HE CALLED US AND PUT US FOR A CERTAIN PURPOSE .

þ God is not the author of confusion but rather God of Order. We, Christians must  attend church worship and not  only if we like.

þ Sometimes, we are not submitting to the authority  given in the church. To the pastor or teacher that God gave us to lead and teach how to grow or be matured.

þ Some of the pastor that walk in faith give up and twist the teaching of our Lord. For instance baptism and membership of the church.

þ Remember we do Baptism because we want to undergo the order that God has set upon us we want to obey God.

þ God has a certain plan for us. There’s no accident but just abide in the leading of God.

2. BECAUSE HE WANT US TO BE USED TO A CERTAIN GOAL.

þ We should be matured in faith as a member and not to be immature, easy to be offended or hurt.

3. BECAUSE HE WANT US TO FINISH THE DESIGNATED WORKS ASSIGNED TO US.

þ  We must make it a habit that we are in the church in every service. Some of Christians are not enthusiastic when it comes to the work of God.

4. BECAUSE HE WANT US TO RECEIVE REWARD AS WE WORK TO HIM.

þ In 2 Tim 4:8 we can receive a crown of righteousness  from God. And remember there are lot more God can give.

þ Be faithful to God and you will receive rewards not only in heaven but also in the present time.

Conclusion:

In Luke 18:28-30 "²⁸ Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.²⁹ And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,³⁰ Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. " - lets prove to God that we are willing to obey and that we can be faithful to Him.

þ For there will come a time that what He have promised will be fulfilled in us.
